Create is a program specifically created for the youth in Paisley. It is essentially an open-mic night for local artists. They can come and perform or just hang-out and listen to others. It’s a great opportunity for us to build relationships with the youth. In addition to the open-mic night Create hosts workshops that teach the youth about different artistic outlets. The one I got to attend was about painting. The picture below is from that night.
Tea and Toast is an outreach held at one of the local churches to help provide for the poor and homeless. They serve tea and toast every Tuesday to anyone in the community. Last summer I got a chance to have tea and talk about the Lord with people who were homeless and struggling with drug addictions. It was extremely humbling and really awesome because sitting down and having tea with people who were addicted drugs definitely is something I've had an opportunity to do before.
Paisley is Great or PIG is an outreach held in the middle of Paisley’s town square. We gave out sausages (kind of like hotdogs) to everyone in the community. It gave us a chance to build relationships with those in Paisley and feed those who were in need. It was a really fun because we set up a table in town square and just passed out the sausages to any who came by. Many people stopped and talked to us. We got a chance to talk them about Paisley and why we were there. It was a really neat opportunity. The pictures below are from the first day we participated in PIG.

Working on posters and banners to help set-up for Create. The theme the night we went was a black and white theme. We helped blow up balloons, put black and white tape around the room, and set-up the snack table.
